WOW! What a weekend. My family and I just wrapped up a super special 4th of July Weekend. Filled with our favorite traditions, OLD NAVY T-SHIRTS + SWEET TEA!

I was reflecting on the weekend and thinking about celebration. My husband and I have been on a journey of building a KINGDOM BUSINESS. We believe there is power in business and God wants His leaders and faithful followers leading in business. It’s been embedded in our hearts for a few years now.

One of the first things God spoke over our journey was,

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…

Zechariah 4:10

It’s crazy to me to think of where we are at in our business journey. It’s the part where so many people easily quit. It would be so easy to give up right now and find the “next thing.” One thing that we keep holding onto is that word God gave us at the very start. I encourage anyone starting something new to pray for a word or a verse from God. He will direct you to something powerful that will carry you through the journey until you see the dream fulfilled.

I got an email this morning and wanted to share with you what it said,

I. Practice Gratitude
Gratitude brings joy, and joy brings strength.

II. Value the Journey
Every step toward the vision is a step worth celebrating. 

III. Honor Others
Comparison steals your celebration. There's room for everyone to win.

I have really been thinking about this all morning. I was thinking how practicing gratitude is so essential, not only in everyday life but when you are dreaming with the Lord too. Keeping yourself stirred up with joy brings you strength. I had no idea how much actual work goes into building a kingdom business. It is WORK + SACRIFICE! Joy brings that supernatural strength to keep on pushing through.

Valuing the journey is huge. It actually brings me to tears. During our business building journey the Lord sent us two amazing mentors who have built Kingdom Business. They shared with us at the very beginning to enjoy the journey. I am so grateful for that wisdom. Every single step closer to the vision and the dream should be celebrated. We ordered our equipment a few weeks ago for the trailer and called some of our best friends. We ordered crumbl cookies and drank sweet tea together. Celebration is essential. Every step must be celebrated. Then, this weekend, my husband and father in law got *most* of the electrical work done in the trailer. Y’all, every single step is a VICTORY! I can taste the dream coming into fruition!

Finally, honoring others is essential. So many times comparison can try to steal our joy on this journey. There are so many opportunities to wish the process away, but we know God is preparing our hearts for this beautiful GOD DREAM. We are so grateful for each one of our friends and family members who have cheered us on and sacrificed time or resources to get us closer to the vision. We are so so grateful.
